General Information on Renewable Energy Training

The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is a volunteer board of renewable energy stakeholder representatives. Its mission is to support, and work with the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries, professionals, and stakeholders to develop and implement quality credentialing and certification programs for practitioners.

Technical and Community Colleges listed below with an asterisk (*) are approved providers for NABCEP training.  CLICK HERE for a national listing.

The Electronic Technicians Association International (ETA-I) is a not-for-profit association founded in 1978 focused on certification of those individuals involved in the electronic and technical trades.  ETA-I offers entry-level certification in photovoltaics (PV solar electric) as well as small wind turbine systems.   ETA has certified over 150,000 individuals under 80+ certification programs around the globe.  For a complete list of authorized training providers and more information on the renewable energy certification program, CLICK HERE.
